Accenture Leases 3.5 Lakh Sq. Ft. Office Space in Newtown, Boosting Kolkata’s Growing IT Ecosystem

Accenture’s major office expansion in Kolkata marks another significant milestone for the city’s rapidly growing IT and corporate ecosystem.

The global technology and consulting giant has leased approximately 3.5 lakh sq. ft. of office space at Candor TechSpace in Newtown, reinforcing Kolkata’s emergence as one of India’s rapidly growing technology and innovation hubs.

The expansion is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities and further strengthen the city’s position as a preferred destination for multinational companies looking to expand operations in Eastern India.

Over the past few years, Kolkata has witnessed steady growth in the IT and business sectors, driven by improving infrastructure, increasing availability of Grade-A office spaces, expanding metro connectivity, and a strong talent pool. Newtown and Rajarhat, in particular, have become major centres for technology companies, global capability centres, and corporate offices.

The transaction was successfully executed by JLL and Gaurav Khaitan, bringing another landmark corporate expansion to the City of Joy.
