Oracle has announced a strategic collaboration with West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL) to strengthen the state’s digital talent ecosystem by training 15,000 students and professionals by 2029. The initiative aims to equip learners with future-ready skills in high-demand technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data science.

As part of the program, Oracle will provide over 200 hours of free digital training and certifications to each learner through Oracle MyLearn, the company’s global learning and enablement platform. The curriculum will cover advanced technology domains including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Generative AI, Data Science, DevOps, Oracle APEX, and Security, helping participants build industry-relevant expertise.

The collaboration aligns with the Government of West Bengal’s vision to expand employment opportunities, enhance digital skills, and foster innovation across the state. By combining Oracle’s global technology leadership with WEBEL’s strong local reach, the initiative is expected to significantly improve employability and career growth for West Bengal’s youth.

This partnership marks another important milestone in positioning West Bengal as a growing hub for digital talent and technology-driven growth, supporting India’s broader digital economy ambitions.
