Kolkata’s commercial and IT landscape is set for a major transformation with the upcoming World Trade Center (WTC) NDITA in Salt Lake Sector V. Spanning a massive 5 million square feet, this ambitious development is poised to become one of the city’s most prominent commercial landmarks.

As previously shared by Kolkata Calling in our construction update, the project is being developed by the Kolkata-based Merlin Group, a name synonymous with large-scale, world-class real estate developments. The WTC NDITA aims to offer top-tier, global-standard office spaces, designed to meet the evolving needs of multinational corporations, technology companies, and emerging enterprises.

Located in Sector V, Kolkata’s prime IT and business district, the World Trade Center is expected to further strengthen the city’s position as a preferred destination for global businesses in eastern India. With modern infrastructure, scalable office spaces, and an internationally recognised WTC branding, the development is expected to attract both Indian and international firms.

If timelines progress as planned, the first phase of the project is expected to open by the end of next year, marking a significant milestone in Kolkata’s commercial growth story.

The WTC NDITA development reflects the growing confidence of large developers and global investors in Kolkata’s business ecosystem. As the city continues to expand its IT, fintech, and services sectors, projects like this will play a crucial role in creating jobs, attracting investments, and enhancing Kolkata’s global business profile.
