Global IT and consulting leader Capgemini has further strengthened its presence in Kolkata by occupying the entire B1 Tower at Candor Tech Space in New Town, adding approximately 2.5 lakh square feet of office space to support its expanding operations.

The latest expansion reflects Capgemini's continued confidence in Kolkata as one of its key technology and delivery hubs in India. The additional office space is expected to accommodate the company's growing workforce and support future business growth across digital transformation, cloud, engineering, AI, and consulting services.

Capgemini has also indicated that it will continue to recruit talent in Kolkata, with more job openings and walk-in hiring drives expected as the company scales its presence in the city. The move is expected to create fresh employment opportunities for software engineers, consultants, and technology professionals.

Headquartered in Paris, France, Capgemini is one of the world's largest IT services and consulting companies. As of 2025, the company reported annual revenues of approximately €22.5 billion and employs more than 423,000 people across over 50 countries.

The expansion adds to Kolkata's growing reputation as a preferred destination for global technology companies. In recent years, multinational firms have continued to invest in the city's IT ecosystem, attracted by its highly skilled talent pool, competitive operating costs, improving infrastructure, and expanding commercial office space.

Located in New Town, Candor Tech Space has emerged as one of Eastern India's premier IT business parks, housing several multinational technology companies and Global Capability Centres (GCCs). Capgemini's decision to occupy the entire B1 Tower further reinforces the campus's importance as a major technology hub.

The development is another positive milestone for Kolkata's IT sector, highlighting sustained corporate investment, increasing office absorption, and continued confidence in the city's long-term growth prospects as a leading technology and innovation destination in India.
