ONGC’s ₹185 Crore Green Office Building Coming Up in New Town, Kolkata
Another major corporate infrastructure project is taking shape in New Town, Kolkata.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is developing a modern Green Office Building in Action Area-II, New Town, which will serve as the regional headquarters for the MBA Basin. The project, estimated to cost around ₹185 crore, is currently under construction, with structural framework and superstructure work already in progress.
The upcoming office complex is being designed as a modern, energy-efficient workplace, aligning with the growing emphasis on sustainable and green infrastructure development. Tenders for core, shell and façade works have already been processed, indicating steady progress on the project.
The development adds to the growing list of corporate and institutional projects in New Town, which continues to emerge as one of Eastern India’s key business and commercial hubs. Over the years, the township has witnessed rapid growth in office spaces, IT parks, educational institutions and urban infrastructure, attracting major public and private sector investments.
As Kolkata’s commercial ecosystem continues to evolve, ONGC’s new regional headquarters is expected to further strengthen New Town’s position as a preferred destination for business and administrative infrastructure.
