Utsav App Raises ₹36 Crore in Series A Funding, Boosting Kolkata’s Startup Ecosystem

Kolkata-based spiritual and devotional services platform Utsav App has raised ₹36 crore in a Series A funding round led by Atomic Capital, marking another significant milestone for the city’s growing startup ecosystem.

Existing investors India Quotient and Equanimity Investments also participated in the round.

Founded by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De and Prajata Samanta, Utsav App connects devotees with temples and priests through a digital platform. Its services include puja bookings, consultations with pujaris, prasad delivery and personalised rituals.

The fresh funding will be used to expand Utsav App’s network of temple partners, strengthen its technology and fulfilment operations, improve personalisation and grow its team. The company also plans to expand its services for Indians living overseas, enabling them to arrange rituals at temples in India and receive consecrated offerings.

Utsav App says its revenue has grown eightfold since its previous funding round and that it currently fulfils around 2.5 lakh orders every month. Over the next 12–24 months, the startup plans to add more temple partnerships and devotional services while continuing to invest in technology, logistics and fulfilment.

The company had previously raised ₹6.35 crore in a pre-Series A round in January 2025.
