Dankuni is set to receive a major boost to its warehousing and logistics infrastructure, with Allcargo Logistics planning a ₹1,000 crore multi-purpose, multi-user warehousing project in the region.

The project will be developed across 45 acres and marks Allcargo Logistics’ first major project in West Bengal. The company will invest ₹400 crore in the development, while another ₹600 crore is expected to come from tenants and companies operating across sectors such as e-commerce, third-party logistics and manufacturing.

The proposed facility will have around 10–12 lakh sq ft of built-up area and is being developed in partnership with local firm Pratham Dealmark. Designed as a multi-user facility, the project will cater to businesses from multiple industries and is expected to add significant warehousing capacity to Dankuni.

Dankuni has emerged as an important logistics and industrial location because of its connectivity to Kolkata and its strategic position within Bengal’s wider freight and distribution network. The new investment could further strengthen the area’s role as a warehousing and logistics hub.

Ram Walase, CEO – Real Estate and Global Procurement at Allcargo, said the company will explore further opportunities in West Bengal after completing the Dankuni project.

The ₹1,000 crore investment is expected to bring new warehousing capacity, attract industrial and logistics activity, and further strengthen Bengal’s position in the growing eastern India supply chain ecosystem.
