Reliance to Invest ₹600 Crore in Integrated Food and Beverage Park at Haringhata, Nadia
Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, is set to invest over ₹600 crore in an integrated food and beverage park at Haringhata in West Bengal’s Nadia district. The proposed project marks the company’s first investment in Bengal and its first integrated food park in East India.
Spread across 30 acres, the project is expected to strengthen Reliance’s presence in the state’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and food processing sectors. The stone-laying ceremony is scheduled for October 28.
Reliance Consumer Products' First Investment in Bengal
The proposed Haringhata food park represents a significant expansion of Reliance Consumer Products’ manufacturing footprint in eastern India. With an investment of more than ₹600 crore, the project will add to Bengal’s industrial development and its growing food processing ecosystem.
RCPL is the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries and has a diverse portfolio covering beverages, staples, personal care, confectionery, ice cream, snacks and noodles. The company has been expanding its consumer goods business across multiple product categories and markets in India.
The Haringhata project will mark a new chapter in Reliance Consumer Products’ presence in West Bengal, bringing its manufacturing ambitions to a state with an established agricultural base and access to a large consumer market.
Campa and Reliance's Expanding FMCG Business
Campa is among the key brands in Reliance Consumer Products’ portfolio. The beverage brand has been part of the company’s wider push into India’s competitive soft drinks market, alongside its other consumer products.
RCPL’s broader business spans several everyday consumer categories, including packaged beverages, food products and personal care. The proposed integrated food and beverage park at Haringhata is expected to support the company’s manufacturing expansion in eastern India.
The project adds a new dimension to Reliance Industries’ existing presence in Bengal, where Reliance Jio already operates across telecommunications and digital services.
What the ₹600 Crore Investment Means for Bengal
The investment is a notable development for West Bengal’s food processing and manufacturing sectors. An integrated food and beverage facility of this scale could strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem and create opportunities across manufacturing, logistics, packaging and related supply chains.
Haringhata, located in Nadia district, is the proposed site for the 30-acre development. The project also brings fresh attention to industrial investment beyond Kolkata, highlighting the role of districts across Bengal in attracting large-scale business activity.
The eventual impact on local employment, supplier networks and supporting industries will depend on the facility’s final configuration, operational capacity and implementation timeline.
Haringhata Adds to Bengal’s Industrial Investment Story
With an investment commitment exceeding ₹600 crore, Reliance Consumer Products’ proposed food and beverage park is an important development for West Bengal. The project will be the company’s first investment in the state and its first integrated food park in East India.
As Bengal looks to strengthen its manufacturing and food processing capabilities, the Haringhata project adds a major consumer goods company to the state’s investment landscape. The scheduled stone-laying ceremony on October 28 will mark the next milestone in the project’s development.
