West Bengal is preparing for a fresh wave of industrial investments, with proposed manufacturing projects in Haringhata, Haldia and other locations adding to the state’s industrial development pipeline. From Reliance Group’s upcoming Campa Cola plant to Pepsi’s proposed manufacturing facility, these projects highlight potential expansion across beverages, medical equipment and other industrial sectors.

The state has also indicated that investments worth another ₹10,000 crore are in the pipeline, signalling further proposals for industrial development across Bengal.

Reliance Group’s Campa Cola Plant Planned in Haringhata

Reliance Group is planning to establish a Campa Cola manufacturing plant at Haringhata in Nadia district. The foundation stone is scheduled for October 28, marking a planned development in the state’s beverage manufacturing sector.

The project adds to Haringhata’s growing industrial significance and could create opportunities across manufacturing, logistics, distribution and related services as the project progresses.

Pepsi Plans 98-Acre Manufacturing Facility in Haldia

Haldia is also set to feature in West Bengal’s expanding industrial investment pipeline, with Pepsi planning to establish a manufacturing facility across 98 acres.

The proposed land allotment will require approval from the state cabinet before the project can move forward through the relevant stages.

In a separate development, another 50 acres in Haldia has been earmarked for a medical equipment manufacturing facility. If these proposals advance, they could contribute to the region’s manufacturing base and strengthen its position as an industrial destination.

Haldia to Get a Proposed Trauma Centre by June 2027

Alongside industrial development, plans have been announced for a trauma centre in Haldia by June 2027. The proposed facility is expected to receive support from Haldia Development Authority (HDA), Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and the Union Government.

The initiative would add a healthcare component to the region’s ongoing development plans, although its implementation will depend on the progress of the project.

Sanjiv Goenka Expresses Interest in Plants in Barrackpore and Haldia

Industrialist Sanjiv Goenka has also expressed interest in setting up manufacturing plants in Barrackpore and Haldia.

While the proposals are at the interest stage, they add to the range of potential industrial developments being considered across West Bengal.

Another ₹10,000 Crore in Investments in the Pipeline

West Bengal has indicated that a further ₹10,000 crore in investments is in the pipeline. The figure points to additional investment proposals beyond the projects currently being discussed, although details regarding the investors, sectors, locations and timelines have not yet been specified.

The proposed Campa Cola plant in Haringhata, Pepsi’s planned facility in Haldia, the medical equipment manufacturing proposal and potential projects in Barrackpore together highlight the range of industrial activity being considered across the state.

As these proposals move through approval and implementation stages, their progress will be important to watch for the potential impact on manufacturing capacity, employment generation and supporting businesses in West Bengal.

For Kolkata and the wider Bengal region, new industrial projects could also create opportunities in supply chains, warehousing, transportation and allied services.
