A new hospitality landmark is set to take shape in North Bengal as Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited (ASPHL) has signed a landmark hotel management agreement with Luxmi Tea Co Private Limited for the development of THE Park Siliguri, a 100-room design-led hotel located within the historic Chandmani Tea Estate in Siliguri.

The project will be developed under the Tea Tourism Policy of the Government of West Bengal, highlighting the state’s efforts to promote tourism experiences around its iconic tea estates. Spread across approximately 3.25 acres, the upcoming property is expected to be completed by March 2031.

Often referred to as the gateway to Sikkim and the Eastern Himalayas, Siliguri plays a crucial role as a hub for tourism, trade, and connectivity in the region. Strategically located around 12.7 kilometres from Bagdogra Airport, THE Park Siliguri aims to emerge as a vibrant social destination for both travellers and locals.

The project will blend the legacy of tea estate culture with contemporary hospitality design, offering guests a unique stay experience rooted in the region’s heritage while embracing modern luxury and creativity.

The signing also strengthens ASPHL’s growing presence in the Himalayan tourism corridor, complementing its existing properties such as Zone by The Park Darjeeling and Zone Connect by The Park Gangtok.

With this addition, the group further expands its footprint in West Bengal, where it currently operates THE Park Kolkata, along with other Zone by The Park properties across the state. The brand’s journey itself began in Kolkata in 1967, making the expansion in the state especially significant.

Beyond boosting tourism, the upcoming hotel is expected to strengthen the region’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) ecosystem while also creating employment and skill development opportunities for young people across Siliguri and the surrounding hill regions.

As tea tourism gains momentum and North Bengal continues to attract travellers from across India and beyond, THE Park Siliguri is poised to become a new hospitality landmark in the region.
